Dacus’ first studio album, No Burden, was released on February 26, 2016. THe album was recorded in one day in Nashville with a band that had only just learned the songs. Critically, the album received a score of 79 out of 100 based on 11 reviews from metacritic, which is seen as favorable. The album was Magnet’s choice for the best album of 2016.

Dacus’ second album, Historian, was released on March 2, 2018. And this album faced stronger reception with a #39 placement on the UK Indie albums chart as well as a #9 appearance on the Americana albums chart. Metacritic gave the album an average score of 82 which is considered universal acclaim.

Dacus’ most recent album, Home Video, was released on June 25, 2021. And this album easily surpassed her previous work. It was her first album to hit the UK Albums chart peaking at #85. It also was her first album to reach the Billboard 200 peaking at #104. This latest album also helped lead to Dacus’ 2022 nomination for the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist
